Administrative HistoryThe Rev Sir Henry Delves Broughton (1777-1851) was the father of Rev Delves Broughton (1812-1863). The Rev Delves Broughton and his wife Jane, fomerly Bennett, had children Delves Broughton, later a Colonel, (1846-1929), Mary, and Rhoda, the novelist (1840-1920). Delves married Edith Riall (d1916) in 1872. They had children Brian Delves Broughton (1873-1919), and Mary Edith.
